The Zacharias' Story
On Mother's Day 2002, Dacy and Tim discovered that their first born, Callie, was born deaf. Dacy sang to Callie but found herself questioning how she could make the baby feel loved when Callie could not hear her. The first day that Callie had her cochlear implant activated, her eyes were "sparkly" with excitement and wonder. She was 12 months old.
